Future Disciple a.k.a. Daniel James firmly established himself as one of the most exciting and innovative artists on the trance scene over the past 12 months, with a clutch of huge remixes for Federation, Perfecto Fluoro and Solarstone. His sound fuses hard-hitting techno inspired grooves and massive synth riffs with an eastern flourish, and ‘No Man’s Land’(gleaned from ‘Pure Trance Vol. 1) is a master-class in how to rock a dance floor. The Original Mix is a powerful representation of those hallmarks, with a euphoric layer of pads, vocal samples and even manages to make a trumpet sound cool! James Alexander & Scott Lowe opt for a driving, melodic Pure Trance sound, fusing elements of the Original Mix with some neat sequencer lines and a lead synth/arpeggio combination which provides the eyes-closed moment at the breakdown. Powerful stuff.
Dimitri Kechagias review: The brilliant record label Touchstone recordings headed by the trance pioneer Solarstone strikes back with the brand new production by Future Disciple. The original mix is a magical progressive trancer with ethnic influences and acid overtones too. Its deep, dark, mysterious, haunting but very energetic as well so the progressive trance sets will definitely benefit by dropping this awesome production. Future Disciple even includes some very interesting stop and goes effects to create a dancefloor friendly vibe. James Alexander & Scott Lowe transform the track completely into a massive euphoric uplifting trancer 9 minutes long with bouncy driving basslines, tough techy beats and some deep sounds on top. Very cool epic synthy leads the track to the breakdown that is long and atmospheric as we like it with plenty of close your eyes and raise your hands to the sky moments. The big epic synth slowly arise and drive us breathless in the big climax that will be pure pleasure and big enjoyment for the pure trance followers. If you add the ethnic voices you have the perfect package for an awesome uplifting euphoric club trancer. Another excellent release on Touchstone recordings that will be a big shame to miss. Love iT
