EVENT NEWS: ADE Next Pulls In The Big Names part of ADE 2013

This time last year we'd probably be having to explain who Nile Rodgers is, what he did, why he's a hero and all that sort of background stuff. But then he 'got lucky' and now we reckon it's fair to assume you know who we're talking about. So we hope you'll be as thrilled as we are that Nile will be appearing at ADE Next on Saturday, October 19th, talking about his stellar career and much, much more. One thing you may not know about the Chic guitarist is that he is H-I-L-A-R-I-O-US....seriously, if he hadn't been a mega-talented guitarist and song writer, he would have ended up as a stand-up comedian. So expect great advice, because he's been through the mill and come out smiling, and quite a few tales of backstage madness from a career that started back in the Disco era.

As if that wasn't enough, we will also be welcoming DJ Shadow, perhaps another case of someone who until recently we would have to contextualise for some of you, but not any more! Ever since he was hired by some fledgling promoter to play a Miami club where the main interest seemed to be to hear a few EDM pop hits and slurp champagne, and then, not unreasonably, set about doing what he does best, which has nothing to do with pop music, he has become known as 'the superstar DJ who got taken off the decks'. But he's a big-hearted guy and even though it's a while ago now, he is going to be discussing the infamous incident, for the very last time ever, because as you can easily imagine, he's quite bored of the whole sorry tale.

Multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, arranger, producer, and engineer Om'Mas Keith, the man behind the City Pulse album and Frank Ocean's Channel Orange, will be making his first appearance at ADE. Keith may well be more associated with urban music than techno or house, but he is before anything else a musicians' musician, as well as a highly talented producer and an acknowledged expert in advanced vocal recording techniques.

If ADE Next doesn't already have you in a lather of anticipation, this next one is sure to do the trick. Alongside Rodgers and DJ Shadow, ADE Next will also be featuring Martin Kierszenbaum, otherwise known as Cherry Cherry Boom Boom, a.k.a. the man who worked with Lady Gaga as a song writer and producer. This senior A&R executive at Interscope Records, has, in the last two years scored several Billboard Hot 100 number 1 records with LMFAO and Far East Movement, as well as a number 2 with Ellie Goulding's Lights, a track which also generated over three million downloads in the US alone.
