REVIEW: Michel Cleis - Lady Luck incl A|class Floor Mix out on B1 / Universal Germany

For DJs and fans of electronic dance music Michel Cleis is not unknown. His breakthrough was for the likable Swiss in 2009, coinciding with one of his first releases "La Mezcla" on Cadenza. From now on  Michel Cleis was the name on everyone's lips, and you could  find his productions in the disk cases all the famous DJs worldwide.

He mixes modern house music with Latin rhythms, live percussion and samples of world music. That personal style turn him into one of the world's most original producers.

His productions have been released on labels such as the venerable Strictly Rhythm, Buzzin Fly, or just Cadenza. He is a remixer of alternative rockers like Skunk Anansie and House of Heroes of the calibre of Spencer Parker.

His latest work, "Hey Lady Luck" is a bootleg of the British singer Jamie Woon from the year of 2011. The original is a slightly electronic-influenced soul / pop song backed with a subtle two-step beat.

Michel Cleis transformed the song in his typical style in a casual and extremely danceable groovy house track.

Perfect for warm summer nights or days - from Berlin to New York.

Dimitri Kechagias review: The top imprint B1 recordings presents another huge deep house track ready to conquer the mainstream charts. The brilliant Michel Cleis presents his magnificent Hey Lady Luck anthem that is already at the very heart of many deep house dj sets. The extended vocal mix is a beautiful deep tech house production with fantastic live percussion, tribal drums, and excellent use of the Jamie Woon vocal. It sounds so danceable and hypnotic that you feel locked in its latin groove and rhythm straight away. You can easily guess from its title that will become a sure ladies pleaser and the djs that will play it will become instantly the favourite dj for the female of the species. The superb Jimpster is on remix duties and he does what he knows best. He subtracts all the percussive elements and he delivers a straight forward dark, deep, throbbing and haunting tech house alternative for the more underground dancefloors. The remix package becomes even more extended with A|class Floor Mix. If you were searching for the more upfront version to play in peak time moment of your set this remix does its perfectly for you. Groovy tribal house beats, latin rhythm, funky basslines and the addictive guitar hook is present to get the dancefloor super crazy with it.  Top notch version for the more mainstream dancefloors. Absolutely magnificent release, highly recommended. Love IT!
