1. Blasterjaxx Remix
Tiësto’s long lasting anthem “Adagio For Strings” enters a new era and receives a serious remix treatment from Blasterjaxx.
Thom Jongkind (22) and Idir Makhlaf (21) are the real names behind the DJ/producer duo Blasterjaxx. Thom Jongkind initially set up the Blasterjaxx duo in a different constellation, but when interests went in a different direction, Thom turned to a new right hand man: Idir Makhlaf. A new Blasterjaxx duo was born, ready to take over the world with their unique sound, which is best described as a crossover between electro-house, big room and latin. Their output soon appeared on ruling labels like Defected Records, Universal, Dirty Dutch and G-Rex. Support by big names like Sidney Samson, Gregor Salto, Franky Rizardo, Vato Gonzalez and many others followed. Together with D-Rashid they produced the Reborn EP with the smashes "Reborn" and "Where We Go". Laidback Luke was eager to sign the tracks at his own Mixmash label. One of the highlights in their relatively young career came in early 2013 when they delivered "Loud & Proud" together with Billy The Kit. Eventually Tiësto approached the guys personally to sign the track at his own record label Musical Freedom and invited Blasterjaxx to perform at his Musical Freedom Party in Nikki Beach, Miami. Presenting their brand new killer remix of Tiësto's famous "Adagio For Strings", Blasterjaxx's name may well explode to the forefront of electronic music with a bang.
Indeed opening Pandora’s box with a powerful blend of electro house, big room elements and an undeniable maximal house flavor, Blasterjaxx prepares Tiësto’s “Adagio For Strings” for the next generation. Blasterjaxx’s arrangement lays a rock solid foundation for Samuel Barber’s original theme, now programmed with swirling synth sweeps, culminating into an immense break that will move the crowds worldwide. A Blasterjaxx hit mix.
Dimitri Kechagias review: It should be really hard and big challenge for any producer to touch dj Tiesto worldwide famous classics and update them for 2013 floors. As it seems Blasterjaxx got the challenge and their big chance to get associated with such a mega classic and here they deliver just before the official kick off of the big summer festivals their own interpretation of the magnificent Adagio for Strings. Do they manage to do something exceptional with it?? The answer is of course they manage to deliver the goods and actually to prepare an explosive remix that big room house and trance djs can easily drop in their sets. With ultra tough basslines, hard as nails bouncy banging beats and the incredible orchestral music theme in the breakdown, it will hard to stand still when this remix will be played. Their climax is in your face and very punchy to bring the ultimate euphoria on any dancefloor. Its twisted, playful and with constant change and development to keep the clubbers interested and offer them the best eargasm of their life. Blasterjaxx vibrate the global dancefloors at the moment and their version is perfect for 2013 dancefloor! Love IT!
