REVIEW: Genix - Aura / Nytra out on Anjunabeats

1-Genix - Aura
2-Genix - Nytra

From his collaborations with Mike Koglin to high impact solo outings like "Higher State", Midlands based producer Damion Houchen aka Genix has risen as a leading light within the Anjunabeats family.

As if to prove the point, the innovative talent delivers a double a-side release with the euphoric "Aura" and the uplifting, groove-charged "Nytra". With each track merging Damion's forward-thinking approach to grooves with his command of instantly uplifting but never obvious melody, the two tracks have both been firm fixtures in Above & Beyond's recent DJ sets.

Dimitri Kechagias review: Anjunabeats is certainly one of the hottest record labels delivering each week amazing releases that keep the trance genre wide open to experimentation and forward thinking approach rather than supporting standardised tracks. Great example of Anjunabeats attitude to embrace the new is the latest tracks by Genix. Aura & Nytra will be firm favourites for many and by checking them out you can understand why this is the case. Aura is massive big room club banger that combines tech, electro and house grooves to create this stunning result. Full on and involving with electroish basslines, tough beats and sparkling melodies in the breakdown with huge synths that lead the track into oblivion in its main part. Effective and powerful its climax will make you smile and enjoy yourself dancing totally and utterly free on the clubfloor. Nytra is equally fantastic anthem that has influences from electro and trance.  It's travelling inspiring trancer that you can even call as Balearic. When you hear it you can only imagine blue sea, golden sands and happy faces all over the place. Its energetic, blissful, and absolutely gorgeous with unforgettable melodic theme and groovy crunchy beats that you can not resist. Two Big Room club anthems for the summer! Love IT!
