The Tomorrowland Anthem has fast become one of the most eagerly anticipated single releases in the electronic music calendar – and with critically acclaimed Belgian super-producers Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike continually at the helm, is it any wonder why?
The duo, who for the past three years have successfully captured the very essence of the internationally celebrated mega-festival, have already provided us with such unforgettable tracks as ‘The Way We See The World’, ‘Tomorrow Changed Today’ and ‘Tomorrow (Give Into The Night)’.
Now they return with ‘Chattahoochee’, the official Tomorrowland 2013 anthem and named in honour of the new North American home of Tomorrowland, TomorrowWorld. An absolute monster of a track, the brothers will unleash it live upon tens of thousands of screaming fans as they descend upon the hallowed Tomorrowland Main Stage in Belgium this July.
Throwing the rulebook out of the window yet again, the pair let their creativity and imagination run wild on ‘Chattahoochee’. Like a rattlesnake coiling itself up to take that fatal strike, Dimitri and Mike conjure together snare drums and kick drums that pound underneath the distant sounds of Native American tribes, growing with intensity as the track build up towards that all important drop. When the drop does come, it’s trademark Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike – mammoth, immense, filthy and intense, exactly how their army of fans like it and ensuring yet another massive hit single practically guaranteed to top the international music charts this summer.
For a single so big and so widely anticipated around the world, it was only right to create a video that was equally as impressive. Dimitri, Mike and Tomorrowland teamed up with the creative minds at Stellar Labs, an already established animation house with works for Marvel, DC and other top USA comic publishers, who make their debut in the animation world with the ‘Chattahoochee’ trailer.
Tying in with the four-part Tomorrowland Comic Book series, the ‘Chattahoochee’ video sees Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike travel through time in a bid to seek the ‘truth’ of the universe. The short film was scripted by Eisner Award-winning writer Paul Jenkins, the brains behind the Tomorrowland comic book which premiers this July and is exclusively available at the Tomorrowland Festival in Boom, Belgium.
