REVIEW: Matthew Dunne - Arctic Island out on Discover Digital

1-Original Mix
2-Adham Ashraf Remix
3-Prajex Remix

Matthew Dunne already has a number of releases to his name on labels that include Slinky, Vibrate Sounds and Club Educate to name just a few.

His style includes elements of progressive, tech and melodic trance blended perfectly to deliver his own unique sound and this is demonstrated superbly with Arctic Island.

Syncopated basslines, vocal stabs and layers of melody build seemlessly towards a lush pad driven breakdown which simply oozes emotion.

Adam Ashraf and Prajex complete the package delivering excellent interpretations with both remixers taking the track down a tougher route than the original whilst still retaining the edgy groove and key elements of the melodic content.

Dimitri Kechagias review:   Discover Digital presents the superb release by Matthew Dunne entitled Arctic Island with 2 additional mixes to choose and play. The original mix follows the progressive trance pathway and for 8 minutes you have secured a wonderful energetic ride upon electro trance beats, strong twisted basslines, chopped female vocals and luscious melodies creating the perfect soundscape to escape for a while. The title of the track immediately transfer your mind to an Arctic Island and in a way explains the intention of the producer to create a beautiful balearic melodic trancer that follows the codes of that certain style with mesmerising breakdown with ambient melodies, piano parts, female vocals and huge synthy stabs to make your audience overexcited. The main part continues on the same tribalish electroish way with sprinkle of great melodic rays. Prajex transforms the original into a full on UK underground trancer with psy trance influences. Dynamic and banging is destined to win the vote and support of many A List trance djs. Particularly the main part of the track will blow your mind miles away as it uses the synthy's theme of the original in the best possible way. The uplifting flight continues with captain Adam Ashraf who delivers a bouncy uplifting trancer in a more playful way with very exciting breakdown and full on euphoric hands in the air climax. Pure, straight forward and simple. This is trance for sure! Love iT!
