Katy Rutkovski burst on to the scene last year with her excellent debut "Polar Lights".
The track was supported by DJ's across the globe including finding itself a near ever present in Paul van Dyk's sets for a period of several months.
Fast forward to 2012 and Katy, having now relocated to the UK delivers a superb follow up single and a precursor to her debut compilation album release due later this month.
As a classically trained violinist, Katy understands melody perfectly and once more, this shines through with Hidden Dawn.
On remix duty, Mosahar delivers a more progressive version to fllow on from his impressive debut with Silent Shore Records.
2011 started very well for Katy but now 2012 promises even greater things for this talented DJ / producer.
Dimitri Kechagias review: The quality record label of Kill The Lights presents the brand new production by the talented female dj and producer Katy Rutkovski. The awesome Hidden Dawn is a powerful straight forward banging uplifting trancer that follows the conventions of the genre with feel good blissful melodies in the breakdown and superb build towards the big climax that will raise many club roofs. She even adds some acid layers to give it an underground feel that will be welcomed by many. Mosahar transforms the original into a melodic driving progressive trancer with lighter fluffy beats. The breakdown is longer than the original and includes warm sweet synthy riffs that will sooth you for a while before a glitzy(overused effect) brings back the beat along with all the great melodic layers for an awesome trance experience. You just let the music to tell its story and you never know the kind of secrets that will reveal to you. For instance where exactly is this hidden dawn?? Love iT!
