REVIEW: Lissat & Voltaxx - Trying to Hold Me incl Dj Tomcraft remix on Kosmo records

1-Original Version
2-DJ Smilk Remix
3-Tomcraft Remix

Over the years, Lissat & Voltaxx achieved a top-ranking position among the flagships of electronic music "made in Germany".

They can be spotted almost permanently in the Beatport charts and their bookings lead them halfway around the world.

Like busy bees, they produce the finest club music piece by piece and have developed over the years their own sound and their own fan base. They do not stand still, but constantly evolve their music. Also in their latest release on Kosmo Records.

With "Trying to hold me", they create a rolling bass monster that can hardly be classified into common schemes.

Especially since they do not rely on one of their best studio singers, no, Marco Volters aka Voltaxx insists on recording the vocals with his own voice.

Tomcraft is also familiar with rolling bass monsters and so he contributes an additional, fat progressive house remix. Moreover, fans of classical tech house will enjoy a very functional remix by DJ Smik.

Dimitri Kechagias review: One of the finest, historic and most influential German house record label is of course Kosmo records in Munich that provides for many years now to the house lovers worldwide amazing releases that soon become classic anthems. The latest release will be a big surprise for many as the duo Lissat & Voltaxx give us their massive Trying to Hold Me track that features on vocals Mr Voltaxx himself. Its definitely a very unique track that can be described as deep soulful progressive house with bubbly beats, tech influences and melodramatic strings in the breakdown. The lyrics are very cool and I can imagine many listeners identifying with them and maybe sing a long as well cause sometimes you feel that there are no common bonds to keep you together with your loved one. The legend Dj Tomcraft is on board as well offering his driving progressive house interpretation. Tougher with disco house grooves, hi-nrg synthy melodies but with a funky edge to it. If you search for an upfront version Dj Tomcraft  remix will become your favourite peak time weapon. It recalls in a way his energetic evergreen classic Loneliness.  DJ Smilk Remix is smooth tech house version that is deeper and darker than the original. He applies very creatively  the original vocal with echo sound effects or chopped and distorted in order to deliver a playful hypnotic result. Overall is a superb release with a lot of potential for worldwide success with the stamp of Germany's finest house label Kosmo Records. Love iT!
