Erik de Koning has been active in the industry for more than 15 years. He is known to the public for “WaterVerve” and his production “Higher and Higher” (together with DJ Jurgen), which reached a number 5 position in the Dutch Top 40 and was released worldwide. Erik is perhaps most famous for his Three Drives project (co-productions with Ton TB), ”Greece 2000”, “Sunset on Ibiza”, “Carrera 2” and “Air Traffic”.
Erik has produced an enormous amount of tracks: “Emotions” by Dub foundation, "Loosing sleep” by Club Royale and “Something Goin' On”, produced with Mark van Dale and many, many more. And now Erik de Koning presents his brand new single "Rain" on the In Trance We Trust imprint.
"Rain" delivers the goods in an uptempo, driving arrangement and stays true to the powerful trance sound we know so well from all Erik’s previous world hits. Besides a killer Binary Finary remix we also find a smooth chill out version of the original, which takes the track not just to the big rooms but also to the world's finest lounges.
Dimitri Kechagias review: In Trance We Trust, the classic tried and tested record label returns with a stunning new release that will get you flying up in the skies even if its raining in just seconds after listening to its superb upfront arrangement. The trance legend Erik De Koning once again does his best to impress us all with a straight forward uplifting banging trancer that has solid sharp kick drum, strong basslines with some acid touch to it and of course that classic raining sound sample. The breakdown is magical with cinematic ambient atmospheres. Suddenly appears the huge synthy riff that will be impossible to resist its immense dynamism. When the uplifting beat is back the crowd will have the finest moment of their life riding upon the turbo charged beats along with that melodic theme that will radiate tones of euphoria all over the place. Binary Finary remix adopts the progressive trance route with lighter kick drum but with the same volume of intensity and drive. Particularly the breakdown is superb with a nice relaxing piano along with the rain sound effects and then the top uplifting synthy lead will take over the control and will push the whole track forward into the main part that is superb climax and in a way reminds me of the good old sound from ITWT back in the days. Of course the Chill Mix is a must have as well to listen while you drink your favourite hot cup of tea or coffee and you need to concentrate to your thoughts and bring back some memories.This is what I call Trance 100%! Love It!
