REVIEW:Willy Real & David Prap - Annihilating Rhythm on Aurium/Baroque

1-Annihilating Rhythm
2-Foz Rider

As Aurium look to ramp back up in 2012, we get the year started with a simply gigantic two track ep from Willy Real & David Prap.

The lead track here is is 'Annihilating Rhythm'.. repeating vox hits, soaring pads & whipped up grooves lead the way, before the main vocal sample drops and the acidic bouncy bass drops. A fluttering melody line creeps in and grows into the breakdown , where washes of sound and stretched synths lead to THAT vocal again.. this one goes OFF!

'Foz Rider' is the second track.. and gets right to it, with a doubled up bass pattern, sidechained spooks & discrete 303 stabbs.
rolling tech percussion adds momentum, and builds to the drop, where a ghost like melody line builds then degrades amongst the waves of sound, to an 'acid' kick back.. rather tasty!

Dimitri Kechagias review: Aurium 1st release for 2012 just landed and is a good one. If you love melodic progressive house beats that get dark and sinister but with some bright melodies here and there you are going to love Willy Real & David Prap and their Annihilating Rhythm EP. The main track of the EP Annihilating Rhythm is deep techy with choped vocal sample that adds warmth and funkyness too. The breakdown uses a swirling maddening metalic riff that pushes the track forward until that distorted vocal line tell us the title of track. Its full of groove and drive and a sure winner for the dark dancefloors. Fox Rider is the more techno minded track that is very creative and inspired with bouncy playful tech beats and with highlight of it that threatening melody that is choped, twisted, squeezed and turned in order to get you wild and uncontrollable on the dancefloor. This is what I call fresh  forward thinking EDM music!
