Stealth Records continues to roll in 2012, with the release of Chris Moody’s ‘Rock Me’.
NYC’s Chris Moody has a reputation as a talented and dynamic artist.
Years of hard work as both a producer and DJ have earned him a residency at the legendary Pacha NYC, as well as gigs around the world with the biggest names in the biz. ‘Rock Me’ is Chris’ first solo artist release on the label, but he has been in the Stealth family for many years with multiple remixes and also as a regular at label events.
‘Rock Me’ has many different elements combined in the Original Mix: electro and big room, with rocking vocals by Ashtrobot. Roger Sanchez and youngster Special Features mash-up their versions for something truly unique. Christian Falero will have you bouncing with his remix, and Seth ‘S.co’ Cohen adds a techy-vibe to the package.
Early support by the likes of Tiesto, Robbie Rivera, Roger Sanchez, Thomas Gold, Adrian Lux, and Kim Fai.
“Rock Me was an exciting project to work on because I got to work with a talented singer (Ash Risher) and my mentor Roger Sanchez as a co-writer. I am extremely happy the way my original mix came out and love all the remixes, and I am sure the fans will as well”. – Chris Moody
Dimitri Kechagias review: Stealth records rules with another hot pumpy new release for 2012. As it seems this year house music will see more and more rock influenced vocals and Rock Me as the title suggests is one of them. The original mix is a very cool creative hybrid of chunky progressive house, electro twisted grooves and on the breakdown along with that rocky vocal some trance melodies as well to raise the roofs of the modern clubs. Its top notch for sure and it has the vocal to stand out and people start asking around whats the title mate??? If you want a version that is more playful and classic USA house style then Christian Falero version sounds the most appropriate for you. Full of nice grooves, choped vocals and plenty of effects is the style that classic house djs can easily spread in their mixes. Lastly on the hot and spicey package S.co Remix is an 8 minutes epic style version that runs fast and furius with quite minimal but bouncy style. Strong breakdown with warm atmosphere allows the rocky vocal to come out but in this version the manic sharp toughy beats rock the universe. If you play on WMC this year I have the feeling that this version will be droped quite often. Rock Me Stealth...I can handle it, Love IT!
