REVIEW: Aly & Fila - 200(FSOE Anthem) out on FSOE/Armada Music

1.200 (Original Mix)
2.200 (Ummet Ozcan Mix)

Egyptian duo Aly & Fila create a new favourite for the ‘tune of the year’ voting with ‘200’, the official theme for the 200th episode of their Future Sound of Egypt radio show. ‘200’ is big, powerful and no less than peak-time!

Marking a milestone in the impressive career of the Egyptian superstars, ‘200’ brings you much more than the sound of electronic elements coming together. ‘200’ brings you the commemoration of a sound, movement and future. In late 2011, Aly & Fila celebrated the 200th episode of their radio show ‘Future Sound of Egypt’, having a big global following of trance fanatics.

In 2012, only a few weeks after Aly & Fila’s monster hit ‘We Control The Sunlight’ was voted ‘Tune of the Year’ in Armin van Buuren’s A State of Trance annual Top 20, the duo brings light with ‘200’.

An acid-energetic vibe, hard-hitting bass and an enchanting break of synths and melody. ‘200’ has the size and feel of any party’s highlight moment. If the deeper, more proggy side of trance gets you going, try the Ummet Ozcan remix.

Dimitri Kechagias review: When it comes to pure and dynamic uplifting trance the first label that you look out for is of course Aly and Fila's outstanding FSOE that through its various releases established itself as the main provider of quality uplifting releases that are destined to become firm favourites for any uplifting trance dedicated lover like me. 200 anthem is what the name suggests and that is of course an anthem. Many tracks characterise themselves as anthems but only some of them have that distinctive quality to be an anthem and this brand new release by the Egyptian stars is composed to be an anthem. Pure powerful and honest beat and driving basslines that get you on board for an unforgettable sound journey. Of course the acid overtones support the track to become more aggressive and sure peak time choice for many. The breakdown reveal a really heaven sent melody influenced from classical music for sure that is combined with huge synthy riffs that can get under your skin and give you 200 of goosebumps. The peak time part has all the right and exact elements to bring any club under its influence. The outstanding original is supported by a very cool remix by Ummet Ozcan. His style on previous releases was quite dark and tech trance on this remix he change his sound and goes for a more upbeat proglifting style that is definitely a big plus. Wishes to Aly and Fila to celebrate their 1000 episode after many many years. Love IT!
