Dutch Master’s tireless efforts to become a world class DJ and producer are finally paying off in a brilliant career that’s taking him all over the world! Today he’s the headliner of choice for massive events in The USA, South Korea, United Kingdom, Australia, Croatia, Canada, Germany, Italy and many more. Playing all big festivals in the world like Defqon.1, Creamfields and Dance Valley this man is right where he belongs: on top of the hard dance scene!


Interview is written and conducted by Dimitri Kechagias, Radio/Club DJ & Music Journalist

Dimitri: Do you consider 2011 as a positive, negative or neutral year for the progress of the Electronic Dance Music scene?
Dutch Master: 2011 was a positive year for the electronic dance music scene. It’s bigger than ever and dominating every club in the world. The biggest music artists want to work with dance producers these days. Also the hardstyle sound is getting bigger around the world and takes me to countries I didn’t even think of DJing there ever.



Dimitri: Do you believe that 2011 was a good , indifferent or bad year for the development of your personal career?
Dutch Master: 2011 was a good year with gigs on the most important festivals of harder styles. Gigs in Canada, South-Korea and Europe... I can’t complain! My releases where supported by all the big names in the scene and worked good at the dancefloor.

Dutch Master: The Prophet and Brennan Heart - ‘Wake up’ worked so good on the dancefloor. Pretty hard track but very catchy good sound.

p) Best and worst djing or production experience that happened in 2011
Dutch Master: During playing pushing the Cue button on the CDJ instead of the effects button on the DJM. Happened during active performance and really is a nightmare.


q) Best country that you performed this year
Dutch Master: I can’t choose between Seoul South Korea and Vancouver Canada. Both amazing cities and the vibe on the dancefloor was amazing.


r) Best club or open air festival that you attended or you even performed this year
Dutch Master: Defqon1 was an amazing experience. The best harder styles event in the world!

Dutch Master: I really addicted to my Ducati motorbike. Can clear my mind when I’m driving on this red legend! :)

z) Best thing you have done this year in order to support any social movement, charities, or other people that may need your help.
Dutch Master: Every month I donate money to the WSPA. It’s for animals and I do this because I think animals have nog choice. Humans can really be rude to animals which make me sick.


 
 Dimitri:Can you please let us know your plans for 2012 for your djing, productions or label?
Dutch Master: I really want to release more track in 2012. At the moment I’m rebuilding my home studio so I can start 2012 on fire! :)

Dimitri: On the other side is it possible to tell us the track, album, artist/dj that you believe were the worst of the year and why?
Dutch Master: No... I don’t want to look negative to the scene!

Dimitri: Please give us your wishes for 2012 and your small piece of advice for anyone that reads this interview and aspires to get into music production, djing, or music production in general.
Dutch Master: Of course I wish everybody a great new year with lots of love and inspiration. My tip for upcoming producers/djs... follow your heart, work hard and one day we play together the best parties in the world! :)
