ADE 2018: The future of plastic to be discussed at ADE Green

Presented by Green Events, this panel aims at looking for opportunities to use plastic in a responsible way and what the future will look like.

Brands and organizations in the event industry are joining forces, taking the lead in responsible plastic use. Together with ADE, the Dutch State Secretary of Infrastructure and Water Management Stientje van Veldhoven and others partners will be launching a new initiative to use plastic in a responsible way.

The Secretary will give a glimpse into the possible future of plastics. Single-use plastic products are a symbol of the linear ‘waste’ economy. She is working on European regulations and partnerships to transform towards a circular ‘waste-free’ economy. On the ADE Green stage, she will officially launch an initiative that has been started by the event industry to use plastic more responsibly, agreeing on a circular plan within the whole chain.

Among the panel members are DJ Sam Feldt and co-founder of DGTL Festival Jasper Goossen. Sam Feldt shares how he became motivated to use his reach to do something about the impact of plastic on our planet whereas Jasper Goossen will talk about the sustainable developments in the festival industry in the past three years. Moreover, his DGTL strives to be a completely circular festival by 2020. The Future of Plastic - presented by Green Events at ADE Green will start at 3.45 PM at DeLaMar Theater (D8 Panel Room).
