REVIEW: Various Artists - Four To The Floor 11 out on Diynamic Music

The 11th edition of “Four To The Floor” is here. Diynamic Music’s very own various artist series, which is always comprised of four dancefloor-oriented tracks that have one special quality in common: they have all been heavily road tested and certified by label boss Solomun on his countless gigs all over the world.

Opening the record is a soaring Tech House train with the catchiest electric guitar-turn-string-turn-choir riff you will hear all year: “I’m So Crazy”, originally released by Par-T One in 2001, now remixed by Armonica.

Up next is German Brigante with “Mango”, a thumping bass heavy anthem with lots of old-school elements.

The third track “Choose Life” by Alexandros Djkevingr & Greg Ignatovich has gained a lot of attention through Solomun’s Tomorrowland set and features lyrics of Danny Boyle’s critically acclaimed film “Trainspotting”.

Closing off the eleventh instalment of FTTF is Serhan Guney with his dreamy “Journey Of The Mind”, an ethereal Deep House voyage.

[content title="Summary" label="Overall Score"] Diynamic Music presents the Four To The Floor 11 with 4 stomping tech house bangers to choose from and make the crowds melt on the dancefloor. Par-T-One classic I'm So Crazy is updated perfectly by Armonica with superb wobbly warm basslines, rolling tribal drums and excellent application of the haunting guitar line and dark epic synthy melodies along with the cinematic choir sample for something totally unique. Mango is next by German Brigante. Dark moody and serious tech house with cool synthy melody in the breakdown while the main section is heads down funky electronic tech house with playful rhythm to make you wiggle. Choose Life by Alexandros Djkevingr & Greg Ignatovich stands out thanks to the Trainspotting inspired vocals that unfortunately are read out totally passionless by female voice but the coldness of the delivery seems to work. The tribal stomping groove underneath is highlighted from generous acid overtones and greedy dirty basslines that punch you gently. Finally Journey Of The Mind by Serhan Guney is as the title suggests great deep melodic progressive house beauty with cinematic suspenseful strings upon the laid back driving grooves and spanking bassline. Magical melodies open the space and widen the possibilities for the mind to go one step ahead. #PureGold Love IT[/content]
