REVIEW: Simon Templar - The Fog & The Mist out on Pure Trance

This EP is the 2nd taster of Simon Templar (aka Winkee founder Jussi Paasonen’s) debut album ‘Balance’. First up is ‘The Fog’, with moody & dark undertones. This is late night music for those long, sweaty dancefloor sessions and is most definitely a serious helping of Pure Trance music! On the flip is a brighter piece entitled ‘The Mist’; soaring strings, pulsating synth plucks and a running-bass power this beauty along, & a ‘juicy’ (geddit?) JP-esque riff provides the all-important uplift – which is cunningly fully unveiled post-break. Pure

[content title="Summary" label="Overall Score"]Simon Templar presents two more brilliant tunes taken from his Balance album. The Fog & The Mist are examples of what trance should be about without glitters and star dust. Two tracks with their focus on the brilliant atmosphere and the incredible melodies that invite you to get on board and let yourself go and travel all night long. Closed eyes or hands in the air you choose how you will react on these two very inspiring tracks that both introduce original melodies and attempt to go deeper and bring great melodic content with class, elegance and eclectic touch. Hypnotic and smooth Simon Templar returns to the roots of what trance should care about away from fancy drops. #PureGold Love IT [/content]
