The underground haven welcomes the international dance scene from ADE's Thursday onwards.
After recent announcement of ADE Beamlab and the Gear Test Lab, it is time for another festival highlight.
On Thursday October 20th, the second night of the 21st edition of ADE, Shelter will celebrate its grand opening. Shelter, which is located in the Southern tip of Amsterdam-Noord, has Mastermix as its first official event; a night curated by an international selection of close affiliates to the club’s team consisting of Jackmaster, Moodymann, Tom Trago, De Sluwe Vos, William Djoko and Jasper James.
Tucked away underground, this new haven for revellers, freaks and connoisseurs oriented towards quality dance music can find their fair share of house, techno, as well as vanguard sounds from the newly developing corners of electronic music.
The rest of Shelter’s ADE program includes two label showcases and a special with one of Holland’s most iconic producers. On the second night, October 21st, Shelter plays host to a night with Clone Records. Next to label founder Serge, the imprint is represented by Detroit Electro heavyweight DJ Stingray and longtime contributors I-F and Legowelt and Canadian talent Project Pablo.
Lined up for Saturday, October 22nd, are the institute Semantica, who are celebrating the Amsterdam part of their ten-year anniversary tour Diez. This night sees Voices From The Lake (Donato Dozzy & Neel), Peter van Hoesen, Marco Shuttle, label boss Svreca and SHLTR take over the booth.
Sunday, October 23rd, will be in the hands of Dutch veteran Joris Voorn who will be playing an extended show, right after the opening set of Darling, the new moniker of local artist Anton Pieëte.
