ADE 2016: Shutterstock Music’s search for new talent at this year's ADE Sound Lab

Do you have musical talent to burn and the production skills to match it? Your work could end up on-screen as the driving sound behind big-budget ads, film trailers and more.

After recent announcements on De Marktkantine's five-day ADE program and Heleen Blanken's installation at the Rembrandt House, it is now time to turn our focus to the Gear Test Lab at the Brakke Grond, ADE's hive of high-end, musical craftsmanship which makes it the dedicated place to visit if you're interested in the latest gear and technology.

Shutterstock Music is a leader in providing high-quality music for creative projects. Their music is licensed daily for videos, films, apps, games, and television programming by the likes of Apple, Facebook, Google, BMW, and Samsung. Having joined forces with ADE, Shutterstock Music is looking to discover fresh new talent for their well-curated roster of artists. Hailing from Montreal, Geoff Sauvé, Shutterstock’s Artist Relations Manager, will be setting up shop at De Brakke Grond to meet with composers & producers visiting ADE Sound Lab
“When we’re looking for new music, production quality and style are really the key elements” explains Geoff. “That’s why ADE is a perfect opportunity for us. The festival attracts incredibly talented producers, and we have a great job opportunity to offer them, which makes my job pretty easy.”
To make it through the selection process though, you’ll need to bring your A-game. The music team is scouting talent which is able to compose, produce, mix and master their own work to a TV-ready standard. From electronic, indie pop, trailer and beyond; Shutterstock is looking for music of any genre and pays its composers up front, in full, on a per track basis.

So get your tracks ready for submission and head to De Brakke Grond. Can’t make it to ADE in person this year? Or need time to get your tracks up to scratch? No problem. You can always visit the Shutterstock Music website and submit your work online.
