REVIEW: Jose Amnesia - The Eternal incl Paul Thomas & Scott Bond & Charlie Walker remixes on VANDIT records

Lighting the path into the last month of 2015 comes the latest from VANDIT’s 15 Years Of… series. And boys & girls, you’d better believe, it’s a seasonal cracker!

Since first release, Jose Amnesia’s ‘The Eternal’ has remained two things: underground… and evergreen. Reserved for the deepest level of fan reverence, it’s a classic as beloved today as it was back in the early Noughties.

Paul Thomas, Scott Bond & Charlie Walker are the men tasked with the 2015 revisions, and unto VANDIT’s door they’ve delivered a truly exceptional pair of remixes. On his rework, Paul retains all the essence and sonic high of the Original, binding it into a brilliantly modernised production and up-to-date arrangement. Comeback kid Scott & young gun Charlie meanwhile supply another in their of-late celebrated series of REBOOTED remixes. Putting ‘The Eternal’s central riff between their studio crosshairs, though, supporting pianoforte, string-symphonics and rafter-raising synthesizers, they elevate Jose’s anthem to yet greater heights.

Dimitri Kechagias review: VANDIT records celebrates 15 years with a series of updates and remixes of their biggest tracks in their glorious back catalogue handpicked by Paul van Dyk. The latest track to get the remix treatment is The Eternal by Jose Amnesia. Highly memorable riff and goosebumps from head to toe are guaranteed. First is the always stylish and top notch Paul Thomas. The beloved progressive trance master adds is futuristic touch and the miracle happens as the track sound so current and perfect for the year that particularly in USA trance is growing out of any proportions. Paul Thomas version moves in  the progressive and big room trance territory. Thumping drums, pulsating driving basslines and the piano melody in the breakdown to bring the memories back followed by an uplifting and highly pleasurable climax with the main synthy theme played continuously until  you will not forget it any more.  Paul is about quality and he delivers for sure. Scott Bond & Charlie Walker transform the original into a solid pounding trancer with tough meaty drums, punchy kicks and driving basslines along with gated vocals and the perfect original melody that is used without any alteration and change. The breakdown is very beautiful with the piano theme and the big uplifting synths unleashed to bring euphoria. It sounds so powerful and emotional that will be  hard not to be carried away from it and enjoy trance eternally! #PureGold Love IT
