REVIEW: Yotto - Personal Space / Mulholland 99 out on Anjunadeep

Otto Yliperttula aka Yotto has established himself as future Anjunadeep star with his early EPs and remixes, following in the footsteps of label favourites Dusky and Lane 8.

Having picked up BBC Radio 1 plays from Pete Tong, Danny Howard and Phil Taggart along with glowing coverage from Billboard, DJ Mag and Clash, Yotto now ends his 2015 with two huge underground club tracks – ‘Personal Space’ and ‘Mulholland 99’.

Debuted as ‘Essential New Tune’ on BBC Radio 1 by Pete Tong, A-side ‘Personal Space’ sees Otto develop the brooding, raw style heard in his recent remixes and pair it with rich, subtle melodies and booming waves of low end energy.

‘Mulholland 99’ deftly fuses dark moody atmospherics with another textured melancholic melody, tinged with dancefloor euphoria.

Dimitri Kechagias review: Anjunadeep never stops to impress our ears and fuels our imagination with magnificent images of love and appreciation. The brand new EP by Yotto is absolutely brilliant and many big names supporting it and he definitely deserves all the praise he gets. Personal Space is a slow moving laid back progressive house beauty with dark moody industrial synthy hooks and of course magnificent hypnotic melody that runs throughout the track and despite the fact that is simple the result in contrast is simply mindblowing. Smooth deep haunting basslines, chunky wobbly grooves, great drum programming and inspirational strings along with airy pads and melody to die for and get 1.000.000 million goosebumps. Get on board on it, its gonna be massive! Mulholland Drive except its interesting mysterious title is another slice of progressive house greatness with chunky techy drums, xylophone like melodies, vintage synths and great travelling atmosphere that carry you away hypnotised in a place that you have never been before but sounds so familiar. Quality always wins! #PureGold Love it
