REVIEW: Andrew Bayer - Memories out on Anjunabeats

Following his experimental five-track Do Androids Dream EP earlier in the year, Anjunabeats innovator Andrew Bayer returns with another bold, artistic concept in his ‘Anamnesis Trilogy’.

Releasing a track every month from October through to the end of the year, Andrew Bayer’s ‘Anamnesis Trilogy’ is a return to the classics… reimagining past inspirations from trance and progressive’s golden eras and bringing them up to date with a 2015 twist in Bayer’s unique, inimitable style. Far from simple pastiches, though, they blend a timeless, lost sensibility with typically forward-thinking production and curveball twists.

A sought after ID from Above & Beyond’s #ABGT150 set, the tortured electro-trance hybrid ‘Memories’ completes the trilogy.

Dimitri Kechagias review: It's time for another brand new anthem from the hands of Andrew Bayer. The beloved artist brings his Memories from the music that has influenced him the most and the result is simply mindblowing. Memories is a fantastic hit record with chunky wonky grooves, electro sharp synthy hooks and great classic vocal samples that recall Faithless. The breakdown is very melodic and spacey with warm melodies, tender synths and fantastic cinematic strings. The uplifting early 2000 style synthy riffs build the tension until the beat is back and we move on the full on euphoric old school trance climax that brings back the very best Memories of the music that we loved back in the days reconnected perfectly with the music that we love nowadays. #PureGold Love It
