REVIEW: Yotto - Memento / Azzuro out on Anjunadeep

Talented Helsinki producer Yotto aka Otto Yliperttula is the latest signing to the Anjunadeep roster, debuting with a heavy-hitting two tracker “Memento / Azzurro”.

First heard in James Grant’s Anjunadeep Edition 50 mix “Memento” is a huge dancefloor weapon, echoing the bass-driven sounds of Jonas Rathsman and Dusky. Rolling low-end stabs surge through murky, atmospheric melodies leading to an epic breakdown.

“Azzurro” is another bass heavy roller, built around a growling groove that gives way to a nostalgic piano line and soaring pads, rising to a dramatic crescendo before dropping back into darkness.

Already finding support on BBC Radio 1 Dance Anthems with Danny Howard.

Dimitri Kechagias review:  Anjunadeep brings to the dancefloor two incredible gems from the hands of Yotto from Finland with Memento and Azzuro. Memento is a beautiful driving deep progressive house affair that last for 8 minutes but you actually you wish to last for even longer. Moody, bouncy and atmospheric with dark synths and great percussion along with subtle deep old school raw basslines will definitely make difference in your dj set as you will feel locked in its groove very easily. The second track Azzuro continue on the same direction with deeper darker groove, playful techno infused bassline, dark synthy themes, weird freaky noises and spacey atmosphere. It's one of those track that has the ability to take you on board for a hypnotic journey and make you feel totally and utterly surrendered to its overwhelming sounds! Wait for the breakdown for the awesome piano melody to come in the surface and recall sweaty Ibiza nights. Music is all about emotions, atmosphere and great danceable grooves that you will meet on both tracks!#TrueHouse Love iT
