Mathias Schaffhäuser's fourth collection of remixes will be released in March and April 2015 in an exceptionally lavish way. Two vinyl EPs, each with an additional CD, will be released 4 weeks apart. The vinyls will feature the clubbiest tracks, which also will be on the CDs (some of them in uncut original versions), flanked by a handful of more subtle and experimental tunes, making 17 tracks in all.
Many of the pieces are newly edited and mastered, and were produced over the last three years. Because most of the remixes were done for tracks of (sadly) less known artists and released on small underground labels, the album has an uncommercial, underground character. It doesn't sound like the typical remix compilation, but more like an artistically consistent album. Direct quote by Mr. Schaffhäuser: "To me, my RE-'compilations' have the same significance and status as my 'artist' albums; I don't differentiate at all - they are all my babies.“

Dimitri Kechagias review: The return of the legend Mathias Schaffhäuser is definitely big news and his great compilation/album Mathias Schaffhäuser vs Various Artists is absolute awesome and extremely useful for techno djs who search for those shinning quality tunes out there and for the techno fans who like to enjoy the very best in classy forward thinking music in their living rooms while they drink the nice fruit fusion tea and eat their tasty biscuits. Danny Lilwall comes first with Poison Ivy. Mathias version is dark moody pounding techno with hypnotic melodies, cool synths and percussion melodies. Fantastic sound design and incredible flow that attract the ear and easily lock you in its mindblowing grooves. Ziggy Kinder with Meteoroid is remixed perfectly by Mathias. His version is upfront pounding techno with rolling basslines, fantastic drum programming and epic synthy hook that drive the track forward and add its anthemic feeling. The breakdown includes the melancholic organ like melody that certainly brings an emotional edge as well. The drop is driving and very danceable. I can imagine Carl Cox or Laurent Garnier playing this for sure. Kaiser Souzai are represented by Foggy. Mathias remix is an excellent upfront prime time deep tech house version with haunting basslines, techy grooves and variety of synths, natural sounds, percussion melodies and melodramatic parts that combined along with that distorted country vocal that appears in the breakdown and gives you instantly goosebumps for sure. A)Pendics.shuffle and No Reduction is re-imagined as an old school electro groover with spacey vocal samples, playful synths and chopped vocal samples. Be aware that the rhythm on this one is truly addictive. Highest & Joe and Future Jazz comes next. Mathias re-imagines jazz with strong techno elements, relentless hypnotic grooves, funky rthym and pounding drums. Distorted vocal samples and great late night atmosphere that will transfer you to the underground clubs in Cologne for sure. Moritz Ochsenbauer & Jakob Reiter exceptional Metroland is remixed by Fanatico who add their own magic spirit to it with lazy grooves, dark basslines and fantastic vocals that add to the track its unique transcending quality. Velve with Grace is remixed perfectly by Mathias who builds an exceptional involving attractive deep tech house groove that is dominating and hypnotic supported perfectly by the female vocals that highlights the coldness and loneliness we all feel sometimes even if are surrounded by thousands. Paris Haze with Could You Love Me is translated from Mathias as deep driving techno anthem with trancy edges, hypnotic atmosphere and excellent synthy melodies combined with electro sequences and highly distorted vocal samples that are used more as sound and texture less as something meaningful. Lastly Twila.too - Fossile is re-imagined by Mathias as minimal experimental avant garde electro meets breaks style version with cinematic strings, vintage melodies and cool French vocal samples. This top album can be used in clubs, cars and living rooms with therapeutic effects. Let your mind dive with Mathias as your guide and experience ART in electronic music. Love It
