London based John Monkman made his Anjunadeep debut last summer with “Open Frontier”, a deep downtempo beauty featuring a stand out vocal from Liz Cass.
Having fallen in love with the track, Martin Roth created an edit for his sets, to bring the languid original to the dancefloor. Upping the energy, the leftfield vocal sprawls above a dark, raw groove. Martin’s remix quickly found its way into the sets of many an Anjunadeep DJ, and has been a memorable moment at our recent label parties.

Tribal techy rolling groove, excellent raw percussion, deep moody basslines, dark synths and some classical cinematic strings. The vocal by Liz Cass is absolutely mindblowing and her performance has so much strength and power that will punch you in your stomach and give you goosebumps. Martin is one of those producers that create sonic experiences that introduce us to a whole new world of sounds. We have to close our eyes and let the art do the healing!
