REVIEW: Philthy Chit - Tranquiler + Agenda out on Perfecto Black / Armada Music

Philthy Chit has seen constant support from Paul Oakenfold on his monthly Full On Fluoro radio show so it was only natural that when a demo came in from the UK based producer, it was snapped up for a single release on the newly reformed Perfecto Black label as well as the We Are Planet Perfecto album that was released in October 2014.

Backing the superb original mix is a fantastic ‘Rekonstrution’ by Audio Noir as well as a cool b-side ‘Agenda’

With far more to come in 2015 from Philthy Chit, including a new Perfecto Black Radio show on Digitally Imported, fans of the Black sound will be in for a good year!

You can listen both tracks on his Perfecto Fluoro radio mix

Dimitri Kechagias review: Manchester is becoming the centre of trance scene in UK. With great events, record labels and wide variety of music styles Manchester strikes back as the leading city of forward thinking trance revolution. One of the coolest producers is Phil Taylor well known as Philthy Chit. His tracks mainly on Bonzai Progressive labels and Saturate Audio manage to build a considerable following for his sound that is deep, haunting, melodic and trance in the most traditional sense and definition of the genre. If trance music is hypnotic and mesmerising his brand new tracks on Perfecto Black are exactly that and even more. Tranquiler with understated synthy layers upon its bubbly basslines, soft deep drums and relentless building and moving forward opens the endless possibilities to the listener to get absorbed into it and feel how it is to be abandoned in the trance soundscapes. On remix duties for this track is a beloved artist from Australia, the brilliant Audio Noir. He works his way to success with great album released lately on Bonzai Progressive and now on this remix proves what he is able to do and make everybody stop for a moment and take notice of him. Exceptional tribal chunky drums, deep playful basslines, great application of the synthy hooks from the original in his own hi-nrg disco influenced way and additional heavenly female voices. The result is a magnificent tripping out version that will make you fall in love with trance and squeeze every little juice of inspiration and happiness from it. The second original Philthy Chit track included is called Agenda and we deal here with the upfront melodic and colourful side of his very unique sound. With housey grooves, rolling basslines and fantastic hypnotic synthy melodies he manages to build his magical trance kingdom packed with thousands stories hidden within every single melodic layer of this high quality trance sound. Two must have precious anthems that soon will be considered as classics! #PureGold Love It
