One of the most iconic trance records of all time Misjah and Tim’s “Access” was an abnormally big hit when first released on X-Trax in 1995 – a gritty acid monster that drew support from DJs from across the board.
Pitched down at glitzy house nights in Ibiza or pitched up at underground techno / trance nights like Final Frontier at Club UK – “Access” was colossal and instantly recognisable from the first hit of the signature stab that runs throughout. From the over ground John Kelly or Jeremy Healy through to the uber cool underground Dave Clarke or Westbam – everyone played this record.
And here she is – back again on Perfecto Fluoro with a slick 2014 reworking by 140 gangster John Askew.
Early support from key players Armin van Buuren, Aly & Fila, John O’Callaghan, Bryan Kearney, Sean Tyas and Mark Sherry.
It’s a great big acid bath and we’re inviting you to pop your clothes on the chair and join us.
Dimitri Kechagias review: One of the largest anthems in trance history is of course the dynamic acid trance bulldozer Access by Dj Misjah & Dj Tim. So clean cut aggressive in your face record that was produced to make the crowd go ballistic. I still remember great djs playing it in London and how desperately I was searching to find out what is the name of this superb track that had great energy and rhythm without the need of distinctive melody. Back in the days I was buying the top Reactivate compilations and when I discover this banger that was included on one of them I was so super glad and of course I played it on my radio show many times. Now Perfecto Fluoro presents John Askew translation of this early trance hymn. The trancemaster Askew does what he knows best and that is to bring uptodate the track without loosing its original flavour. With rougher and tougher foundation of bouncy drums, metallic energetic basslines and on top the manic wild and fierce acid layer that can drive the crowd insane. The breakdown resembles the original with that wonderful dark and moody atmosphere with the acid riff coming slowly to the surface and suddenly out of nowhere the cheering male voice screams along with the chopped female vocal. When the ruthless bass strikes back we are on board for a larger than life unforgettable experience packed with aggressive energy that raises tension and intensity to the maximum. Trance heaven is a place on earth and John once again proves why he is considered to be one of the most prolific figures in the trance scene as dj, producer or label and artist manager. Access is back!ohhhhh ehhhhh ouiiiiiiii! #PureGold Love It
