FEATURE: Lost Frequencies - 'Are You With Me' Certified Platinum In Belgium

After spending over 5 weeks at the #1 chart position in Belgium, ‘Are You With Me’ from Belgian artist Lost Frequencies was certified Platinum today by the Belgian Entertainment Association (BEA). ‘Are You With Me’ is Lost Frequencies’ debut single. Records are certified Platinum in Belgium for sales exceeding 20,000 units. The single has so far topped the iTunes charts of Belgium and Luxembourg and has been featured prominently in countries in Europe and around the world. In addition, the music video of the record recently passed 1 million views on YouTube, making it one of Armada Music’s most popular videos of the year.

The song was released on Armada Music imprint The Bearded Man, in Belgium in cooperation with CNR Records. This is the first song from the label The Bearded Man to receive Platinum status. The Bearded Man sub label was started in June last year and it is Armada Music’s home for relaxing, catchy, radio-friendly songs that don’t fit under dance music’s traditionally rigid category classifications. Growing rapidly, The Bearded Man has an innovative branding style that sets it apart in the industry - in terms of visual look and feel, unique and celebrated release texts, and of course, outstanding music.

Lost Frequencies is the artist name of Belgian-born producer Felix De Laet, who has also quickly risen through the ranks after a string of widely played remixes and original songs, gaining him the attention of the top dance music labels and radio stations around the world. Felix was the only Belgian artist to reach a #1 position in his home country in 2014. This release only seems to be gaining steam, as the numbers, radio plays, and accolades keep rolling in.

The Bearded Man: “Felix and I first met when we had a successful shrimping boat down off the coast of Louisiana. We forged a deep friendship, but we had to watch our business deteriorate thanks to the BP oil spill. Discouraged, we headed south into Mexico, where we built up a small rum-running business on the side. I distinctly recall one evening where we were listening to a mariachi band play at midnight, drinking margaritas, and dancing by the water. It was in that moment that we decided we were going to get a Platinum record. Best 5 bucks I ever spent.
