Tall wispy blades of grass billowing in the sharp midnight breeze. A horse runs by at full gallop, causing the ground to rumble with each landing step. There’s no danger here, just one of The Bearded Man’s famous midnight joyrides.
When he stops at the lake to get his horse a drink, a beautiful woman with long hair slides off the back. Shoes off, they dip into the water one step at a time. In the moonlight, the water almost looks like a black hole.
This is the fleeting feeling of true love — the feeling of Franklin’s ‘Lullaby'.
Dimitri Kechagias review: Every week The Bearded Man waits those who love and support quality music to come and check out their brand new release and we must say that this week comes something extremely special. The superb duo Franklin from St Albans UK present their magnificent track Lullaby. If you ask if this track is dance, electro or whatever I will suggest you to think the release in the context of The Bearded Man that anything that is quality gets a release and has potential to become big in the clubs with the right remixes and there are some top deep house/indie dance remixers to take care of it. Lullaby is an exceptional warm melodic track with rock and folk influences based on real instruments and the power of the human voice that remains the most strong part in any track even if sometimes we enjoy instrumental tracks in Electronic Music tracks. Lullaby is the name but you will not fall asleep with it. The performance is powerful and very youthful with vocals that sounds truly original without reminding you any other band that is around at the moment while the lyrics sound very mature like coming from someone that has years of life experiences behind him. It's one of those tracks that attract your attention straight away when will be played on the radio. With simple materials like acoustic guitars, great female backing vocals and some strings the track tells its fantastic story. The surprise is that Franklin are super young and they just started their journey that I hope to lead them on the highest tops of their dreams. By checking out the dance remixes on their tracks Colours and Hiding Truth I feel that their voice sounds perfect within digital soundscapes as well so The Bearded Man has great work to do by turning their tracks into dance friendly material.
