Dimitri Kechagias review: One of the hottest imprints in trance remains the top UK label Alter Ego records. With always high class quality releases Trance Family members support and approve Alter Ego records magnificent releases. The latest EP to come on the main label is Frank Waanders top EP that includes two stand out compositions. Ashes/ Java are straight forward uplifting trance at the most traditional and classic on the way we loved them to be. Ashes is an excellent straight to the point composition that follows the rules and conventions of the genre faithfully with tough foundation of pulsating grooves and driving energetic basslines. The breakdown is long and atmospheric with heavenly female voices, sensitive synthy plucks and very warm strings that create the magical colourful environment to loose yourself in it. The climax is full on hands in the air with the very strong emotional synthy hook running throughout and keeping the trancers jumping with enjoyment and wide smile in their faces. Java continues on the same full on hands in the air style with heavy pumping kicks, bouncy energetic basslines and great chord progression that slowly carry your senses away and keep you super happy and excited. The breakdown is well sound designed with piano chords, superb synthy plucks that give you goosebumps and massive hands in the air synthy leads that blow out of proportion and graciously lead us on the full on hands in the classic pure trance anthemic climax that works super fine on any uplifting trance set. #PureGold Love iT
