Having built a reputation in their home nation of Italy under various solo and collaborative aliases, Thomas Schwartz & Fausto Fanizza come together once again for their debut Anjunadeep release, “You Would / Mad Dog”.
The opening track on Above & Beyond’s new “Anjunabeats Volume 11” compilation, “You Would” is a masterful piece of emotive electronic music. Setting the mood perfectly in the mix, it’s a skilled blend of moody atmospherics, drawing from classic progressive elements and deep house grooves, subtly wound together with melancholic vocals and piano melodies.
"Mad Dog” steps up a gear, again combining dark tones with driving percussion in another sophisticated production. Delicate melodics make way for discordant strings and a surging bass riff as things build to an intense peak.

Thomas Schwartz & Fausto Fanizza present their fantastic deep moody prog house anthems You Would & Mad Dog. First of all the fantastic You Would is an example of eclectic high class serious deep house music that has its roots in the deep house scene of the past but actually rather than copying and pasting the past incorporates many modern fresh elements as well making this new deep genre appropriate for deep trance sets as well. Warm and cinematic strings, deep haunting mysterious basslines, chunky driving grooves and fantastic piano melodies on top that sound quite sad but deeply emotional. The whispering vocals are really breathtaking and add value to the final outcome that will hypnotise your senses and offer you the chance to discover magical dreamworlds. On Mad Dog the two producers continue on the same deep groovy sexy sound with prog house grooves, pulsating pumping basslines, emotional strings, beautiful emotional sad piano melodies, vocal chops and great jazz house infusions as well. Mad Dog in contrast with the previous dreamy one is much more upfront with great rhythm that you enjoy the most when you dance and shake along with it on the dancefloor.
