REVIEW: Jacob van Hage- Raid out on Flashover recordings

After his remix for Metric – Artificial Nocturne and his massive edit for Essentials & Wessel S – Azumea, Jacob van Hage returns to Flashover to release his possible biggest solo single to date! Already being a fan favorite since the very first support by New World Punx back in December 2013, “Raid” features everything Jacob has to offer and what makes his fans love him. Pump up the noise… this is a RAID!

The melody and overall vibe that Jacob serves up with minimal sophistication does its job the way it should and in a way it does the title justice! With early support from New World Punx (Ferry Corsten & Markus Schulz), Martin Garrix, Leon Bolier, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Raid is destined to go big…

Dimitri Kechagias review: If there is one legend and true EDM pioneer that should be praised for his achievements is the fantastic Ferry Corsten. The hardworking dj that travels the world constantly and meets thousands of fans in different continent every weekend  is the label owner of Flashover recordings that offered us some of the hottest and sickest tunes in trance, electro and progressive house. One of the hottest stars to be associated with Flashover is the magnificent Jacob van Hage who has already top releases and remixes on many cool labels like Spinnin for instance. It's not a secret but rather self proofed prophecy that his brand new banger Raid on Flashover is Jacob's biggest track and deserves to reach the highest positions at the main beatport top 10. It's the track that has the word mainstage anthem written all over it! The techy drums and the fat meaty basslines pump and stomp hard with marching drums that nicely lead us on the first intro breakdown. Swirling synths, great build up with thunderous drums rolls and the cool vocal sample Pump up the noise… this is a RAID! The drop comes and as you can easily guess moves on the hardstyle house sound with rough and aggressive punchy basslines upon the pulsating uplifting kicks that smash the loudspeakers. The main breakdown is really cool as the main rhythm and melody is repeated again and again by various synthy plucks until the huge synthy riff that comes to the surface along with just the kick for the uplifting euphoric sequence followed by the last deadly and extremely dangerous for the weak hearted drop that will do damage! I wonder why the Netherlands didn't choose this banger for the Eurovision song contest to show them the real face of the EDM music from the Netherlands that rocks the clubs worldwide. Pump up the noise… this is a RAID! and this not a joke is a real warning! #PureGold Love It
