REVIEW: Neil Page - Best Shot out on Koolwaters

Koolwaters continue in a mega rich vein of form as we spotlight another stunning debut production by London based hot shot, Neil Page. With impending releases / remixes on SUKA, Mjuzieek & Applique and DJ gigs a plenty, 2014 is set to be a bumper year for Neil!

‘Best Shot’ is a chunky, funky groove-a-licious mother of a production, packed with attitude and vigour. Based around a funkadelic bassline groove and deep soulful male vocal hook, this production is deep ‘n’ sleezy and the drop is sure to cause frenzy on the dance floor!

This one is right on target!

Dimitri Kechagias review: If the scene wants to make the step into the future must open its doors and allow new talents to enter the building and showcase their talent. Music scene without the presence of new hopeful talented people who can bring  new fresh ideas and approach  is doomed to be distinguished soon. For that reason I really like Marc Vedo's imprint Koolwaters cause if you check it regularly you can hear some upcoming house producers that have great prospects in their future. One of them is the Londoner Neil Page with his awesome deep house beauty Best Shot. We deal here with a very simple and effective track that focuses on the basics and less on effects. It's funky playful production that remains on the deep tech house pathway while at the same time is very upfront and danceable. The cool jazz infused relaxing dreamy melody is combined with classic 90's organ riffs and the fantastic male vocal sample upon the groovy beat and the deep funky fuelled basslines. When you hear it you can not stop thinking of endless passionate sexy summer clubnights in Ibiza or Miami Winter Music Conference. Love iT
