REVIEW: Ally Brown - Nothings, She Says out on Discover Digital

Ally Brown returns to Discover this time showing a more melodic side that see's him move from Discover's Dark sub-label over to the Red brand.

Ally's previous releases on the label have topped the charts on several of the white-label stores and this looks set to follow suit.

A strong remix package backs up the original, with mixes from Chris Porter and Alan Ruddick.

Dimitri Kechagias review: Discover Digital delivers the goods for trance families worldwide. The latest anthem comes from the hands of Ally Brown. The track is called Nothing, She Says and is definitely not your average trancer. Its a modern hybrid of various styles so you can identify psy trance, tech trance and uplifting in one explosive package. The vocal sample used really has a point to make and works to add that futuristic spacey chaotic atmosphere that trance is good to create on the dancefloor. Expect the unexpected and get ready to feel the modern trance sound. The exceptional Chris Porter is on board as well. His remix is a straight forward uplifting hard trance trancelation that is going to bang and bounce you hard with euphoric feel good melodies that recall Paul van Dyk and the classic Discover records sound. The breakdown is very long with cinematic atmosphere with emotional harps, heavy synthy drops that sound like a meteor is crashing on earth and the revelation of the old school trance synths that will raise the hair from your back. The subbass is coming and on top the mysterious vocal is added and very soon the full on climax is coming for the excellent bass focused section but after the final breakdown the uplifting hands in the air part comes to close the remix in the finest fashion. Lastly Alan Ruddick is on board to service his alternative vision that starts with the very cool vocal sample and then move to the psy prog trance main section. The acid overtones energise the proceedings and after the very emotional breakdown goes on the melodic dreamy section. 3 very nice remixes that attempt to move one step further rather than copying and pasting others. Love iT
