With Miami Music Week just around the corner, get ready for the Andhim to be the name on everyone’s lips. Originator of their unique “super house” sound, the Cologne-based duo, comprised of Tobias and Simon, draws influence from a background in hip hop to create an energetic and soulful style of electronic dance music. With their records found in the cases of world-renowned artists like Carl Cox, Solomun, Booka Shade and more, Andhim has also remixed Theophilus London, Kölsch and HVOB. Catch Andhim’s appearances at Miami Music Week -- including the highly anticipated Deep Dish Reunion at Ice Palace Studios on Saturday, March 29 -- as they take their background in turntablism to transform the decks and elevate the party into its own sphere.
Andhim’s one-of-a-kind interpretation of electronic music are also showcased on two new releases from Get Physical. First up is a remix package of their feel-good b-side hit “Hausch,” out March 31 (digital) / April 7 (vinyl), with remixes from fellow Cologne artist Dürerstuben, Denmark’s Kölsch and American techno-legend George Morel -- check out a preview on Soundcloud here. Next is Body Language Vol. 14 due out on Get Physical April 18 (digital) / April 25 (CD). With the ability to move dancefloors with a special uplifting vibe, it’s no wonder why Get Physical invited Andhim to mix the 14th volume of their Body Language series and join the ranks of M.A.N.D.Y., Dixon, DJ Hell, Catz ‘N Dogz, and all those who helped form the series’ reputation as a tastemaker and artistic showcase. Tracks like Robag Wruhme’s "Pnom Gobal," Stimming’s remix of Ian Pooley’s "Kids Play" and even Andhim’s own remix of 2raumwohnung’s "Bye Bye Bye," provide a breath of fresh summer air. The mix overflows with warm tones and sunny vibes -- something Andhim has become known for and a recurring theme in the duo’s productions. Get Physical also invites Andhim to play their official showcase with Philipp Jung (of M.A.N.D.Y.), RadioSlave, Israel Vich and more on Saturday, March 29 at Treehouse.
