Dimitri Kechagias review: Black Hole recordings brings to the table another sure crowd pleaser from the hands of the well known duo Fred Numf & Etienne Overdijk called Speedgate. We deal here with a super modern proglifting trancer that is based on the well known dutch trance sound that was very popular in the past and as it seems strikes back for good and will blow the speakers on many clubs that's for sure. Speedgate is a powerful ultra dynamic composition with techy drumbeats, energetic but dirty basslines, side chain effects and influences from the dark moody Coldharbour recordings as well. The breakdown is well sound designed in order to calm for a while and let the listener dream the night away. The climax is straight to the point and totally uncontrollable so expect the crowd to go totally and utterly ballistic when you drop this immense banger. We must note though that the track includes positive feelgood touches as well that elevate it to a higher level and makes nice contrasts between the dark sinister side with the more euphoric ones. Who is ready to step in the Speedgate? Love IT
