Putting his 2014 into high gear, Eddie Bitar follows up ‘Centipede’ (his recent co-pro with Jordan Suckley) with this furious deuce of floor polishers! The young Canadian first made his mark on the VANDIT discography three years ago, with the much spun ‘Red Room’ and ’Beirut’. Here, in equally energetic fashion, he bares his production teeth with ‘Metal Mouth’, and alongside Paul Webster drops the mighty ‘Meloque’.
After a bit of placid trance-tranquillity today? Probably best look someplace else, ‘cos these two aint rolling over to get their belly rubbed!! ‘Metal Mouth’ flashes its steely chops early with hard claps, speaker-shake timbale percussion, white water bass and hard cranking Goa-esque 303. Shuttling its increasingly psy-ish FX left and right, it arpeggiates its synths notes, creating one badass updraft.
For its second track, Eddie does a studio connect with Ireland’s Paul Webster, who joins him for ‘Meloque’. Prowling acid meet fast-engaging sub melodies and big striking major chords for a testosterone trancer, which flanges, phases & filters… but won’t forgive! Warn ya bass-bins well in advance, ‘Metal Mouth’ & ‘Meloque’ are out Feb 24th!
Dimitri Kechagias review: Vandit records is the top record label headed by the superstar artist Paul van Dyk. The forthcoming release on this must check record label is the brand new productions by Eddie Bittar released under the name Metal Mouth EP. First of all Metal Mouth is an energetic pumping uplifting psy trancer with tech trance elements. The tribal beats, the pumping energetic basslines and the psy trance influences will uplift your senses without doubts. Its actually very techy and underground so better expect something dirty, nasty and extremely dangerous for the status quo of the fluffy airy sounds. The sharp basslines attack the trancefloor and there is nothing given or known. Its a very surprising track that actually changes completetely after the main euphoric breakdown that turns the track into a colorful positive feel good hands in the air trancer that comes as the well deserved pay off moment. The final sequence returns on the dark psy tech trance style and in that way finishes with the finest prospects. On Meloque Eddie combines his workforces with Paul Webster to deliver the fruits and the truth is that they aim for something extremely juicy and ready for clubfloor domination. It is actually very dark, sinister, moody tech psy trancer that doesnt affraid to stay on the underground. The breakdown is very optimistic and colorful with the classic Vandit sound echoing all over it. The track in the climax continues as it started with rough and edgy banging and booming sounds perfect for endless psy tech trance hedonistic parties. Trance is officially back and Vandit is back with a vengeance as well. Love IT
