REVIEW: Kid Massive, WeSmile & Databoy - Daylight (Remixes) out on Strictly Rhythm

A truly international collaboration, Daylight sees Kid Massive aka Benjamin Pedersen (Danish but now living in Australia) and Sweden’s WeSmile supply the well crafted and dynamic, electro tinged backing to New York based Databoy’s anthemic vocal delivery. With new remixes from Alex van Alff, David Puentez and Dario Rodriguez and Eyedentity this is a dance floor banger.

Dimitri Kechagias review: Kid Massive, WeSmile & Databoy collaborated for the magnificent anthem Daylight that went really well in clubs and charts. Now its the time to get treated First Class with the excellent remix package. First of all Alex van Alff provides a wonderful melodic summery balearic tech house version with feel good relaxing rhythm with techy beats, deep funky basslines, old school house pianos and cool synths as well. The vocal sounds in place and the indie rock edge definitely works like a treat on that positive relaxing danceable vibe. David Puentez and Dario Rodriguez service the hard house version that is perfect for peak time, mainstage, festival sets. The breakdown rocks with the indie dance rock guitar riff and the various cool soundeffects that prepare the crowd  for the coming of the massive thunderous powershaking drop with percussion melody on top of the punchy basslines and bones smashing beats. Eyedentity remix is very pretty as well. Its great mixture of progressive with electro house with pop edge. The breakdown is really colourful and dreamy as it reveals the sing a long vocal followed by the maddening drop that in this case goes the acid house direction with twisted chunky feel that sounds irresistible for the big rooms and festivals. 3 must play remixes that will shine on any set. Love iT
