REVIEW: Avicii - Hey Brother incl Syn Cole remix on PM:AM / Universal Music

In "Hey Brother" Avicii celebrates together with the American blues musician Dan Tyminski the friendship and affiliation. The two show despite their different backgrounds , that no musical boundaries  should run between genres. Tyminski sings with  his characteristic voice over the beat: "What if I fall from home? / Oh brother I will hear your call / What if I lose y’all? / Oh sister I will help out! / With the the sky comes falling down for you / There’s nothing in this world I wouldn’t do ".

He began his extraordinary career in a Stockholm nursery. Here Avicii tinkered early on his first beats and songs. As a child of the digital generation , he used the distribution channels of the Internet to draw attention to himself. He quickly earned a considerable fan base and since 2010 he published on a large scale tracks and remixes and is in demand as a DJ worldwide . The first success outside of the electro scene was in 2011 with the single " Levels" . In Germany and England, he reached the Top Ten and sold over 2.2 million copies. This was followed by major awards such as , inter alia, Dance Music Award , Top 3 of the most important DJs in the DJ Mag . " I Could Be The One" became his first number - one hit outside Sweden. This summer he topped the chart with his buddy Aloe Blacc and the megahit "Wake Me Up" .

Dimitri Kechagias review: One of the most important artists of the new EDM movement in the world is of course the Swedish wonder boy AVICII. His album True is as the title suggests  Truthful and really exemplifies and represents what AVICII stands for. His music has changed the EDM scene and has been inspiration for thousands of producers who add in their tracks some AVICII flavours. His new single Hey Brother has topped already the German Dance charts for many weeks and is riding high towards the UK Top 10. Perfectly fully released during Christmas period as the message of the track is really emotionally strong and perfect for the Christmas days that we come closer to our brothers and sisters. He continues on this track his flirt with country music as he successfully manage to resurrect this style and make it relevant to modern dancefloors and open air festivals. The track combines strong country guitar melodies, wonderful lyrics and high class performance from Dan Tyminski who touch your heart really deep and touch our sensitive chords and most importantly inspire us to start sing a long and dancing with him. The progressive house beats, the energetic basslines and the AVICII style synths are balanced to keep happy the clubbers and the radio listeners who they are used to listen softer sounds. Now on  the package the brand new Syn Cole remix is included perfect for those who were searching for the heavy club sounds for their sets. Heavy harder kicks, pumping beats, playful electro inspired basslines and great breakdown with the full vocal, country guitar riffs and additional blissful melodies on top. The beat kicks back and drives the track to its full on, hands in the air moment by transforming the original melody into an anthemic rave style distorted synth to raise the hair from your back and bring the right and exact party mood. Of course dubstep infusions and clever composition keep the crowd interested to this top alternative version. Highly recommended. Love iT
