REVIEW: Sound Avtar - Under The Light EP out on Rub A Duck / Black Hole rec

1. Under The Light
2. Turbulent Flow
3. 5AM

Sound Avtar presents his ‘Under the Light’ EP on the Rub-A-Duck imprint. On the EP you’ll find various spectra of drum & bass music. The EP starts of with ‘Under the Light’; a nice and easy drum & bass track with a dreamy melody and surreal feel to it, whereas ‘Turbulent Flow’ is a real neuro drum & bass banger. With elements of future garage, 5 AM is the closing track. There’s definitely a little bit for everybody.

For the year 2013-2013 Sound Avtar was voted Best Drum & Bass/Dubstep Dj/Producer by the MYFAV Awards. He uses cutting edge music production techniques, creativity and innovation and concocts tunes so monstrous he can’t go unnoticed by the people in his home country India and around the globe. He has also done a remix of an OST track of Bollywood movie Gangs of Wasseypur 2, which says something about his versatility and popularity. Keep an eye out for Sound Avtar!

Dimitri Kechagias review: It's already out on Beatport for a month and caused waves of interest in the bass music world. Rub A Duck presents another top notch bass focused EP to rock from the Indian talent Sound Avtar. His Under The Light EP will drive the crowds insane so better check it out. Under The Light starts with romantic melancholic piano and soon the optimistic and driving drums and heavy bass is coming to the front for a floating tripping journey with positive retro melodies. Relaxing and calming but very danceable at the same time.  Turbulent Flow has darker  moody atmosphere with great mixture of heavy body shaking basslines, headbanging drums and cinematic strings. If you like the hybrid sound of drum n bass with dubstep influences you will play this again and again in your car stereo. Lastly 5AM starts with romantic dreamy soothing intro with mesmerising melodies and violins. Its the perfect after hour track that combines lounge with drum n bass and chill out music. Quality for sure!
