After the great reception of the original of ‘Hands Up!!’ Rise of Artificial now release two remixes of the track on the Rub-A-Duck imprint. UNU’ as well as Postriper & Steil have transformed this glitch hop track into drum & bass, though the remixes are clearly different. UNU’ has really kicked up the speed of the track another notch, whereas Postriper & Steil gave it a bouncy tune, perfect for the dancefloor.
Rise Of Artificial is a music project founded in 2010 by Bogdan Popoiag (UNU') and Cezar Stanciulescu (Junkyard).
The first song, "Ne place", was released on 10th November 2010 and, after only three months, it became the most airplay-ed track on Romanian HitStation Radios, a song that reached more than 4 million YouTube views in only 6 months.By the end of May 2011, the "Artificial" album was released, including, among all 19 tracks, the "Ne place" song, both versions in Romanian and English.
On 22nd November 2011, ROA released a new video for the Sonata in A Minor song, which would be included on the next album in 2012. The romanian version is called Sonata in La Minor , The video was also directed by Bogdan Popoiag and it's parodies thousands of videos with women in swimsuits. On July 9 ROA released a new track that was to become a very popular song in the summer of 2012. The romanian sonq is called “ D-AIA “.
On September 9 Rub A Duck released the glitch hop track "Hands Up!!!“ including an impressive music video from their live performance at the B'estFest Festival 2013
Dimitri Kechagias review: Can you think a most banging track than Hands UP by ROA? When first promoted I was shocked cause I was not sure what this indie rock track is doing on Rub A Duck but when the remixes arrived I understood that we deal here with a huge bomber that is about to strike with vengeance the underground bass scene. UNU' Remix is the fantastic drum n bass remix that starts quite atmospheric and slowly reveals the catchy vocals and then moves to the energetic and highly powerful and very exciting part with top notch drums and basslines until to land on the dubstep infused breakdown sequence with the hip hop style vocals and then to move on the massive drum and bass ride. Its hard and heavy but very enjoyable and danceable as well. The Greek upcoming duo Postriper & Steil move towards the hard, heavy and banging dubstep sound with influences from electro and hip hop as well. They play around with the various soundlayers and coming up with fresh, bass booming and body shaking version that will ignite clubfloors. Two versions that need huge soundsystems to enjoy with HANDS UP! Rock IT!
