REVIEW: Union Jack - Two Full Moons & A Trout (Remixes) out on Platipus

Originally released in 1993, Two Full Moons & A Trout was one of the seminal releases on Platipus Records.

It was picked up by Rising High in 1994 featuring the epic remix by Caspar Pound and mix by Friends Lovers & Family.

Platipus delivered 2 further remixes in 2006 by Luke Chable, Chab and Tetonik^.

Now 7 years later and 20 years after the original release, we thought it's time for a fresh take on this legendary release.

This time round from with mixes from Belgium's Airwave, Israel's Freedom Fighters & Domestic and USA's Terra Ferma, each bringing their own take within today's sound along with the Original 14" Mix.

Dimitri Kechagias review: Its great pleasure to see the beloved trance imprint Platipus records coming back strong with awesome new releases and re-releases with new remixes. The latest one comes from Union Jack and is the unforgettable trance beauty Two Full Moons & A Trout well known for the incredible ethnic female voices that touch you deep and transfer your mind to another plane for sure. The epic remixes from 1994 will never be forgotten particularly the very important Friends, Lovers and Family remix. Now the new versions keep the vibe of the original by adding each remixer's new perspective. The original remastered version is a top notch hard trancer with tough basslines, acid overtones and the brilliant ethnic vocal. Its so good that has already an exceptional place within the pantheon of trance classics that will be around for eternity. The new remix by Freedom Fighters & Domestic recreates the original into a fat throbbing nu-psytrancer with plenty of acid, cool psytrance style melodies and intense drive to keep the clubbers dancing for long. Psytrance seems to be on the rise at the moment and this remix will be an absolute highlight on the forthcoming events. The legend Airwave, one of the most beloved artists service his deep progressive meets trance version that is very epic and very different from anything else you have heard before from Laurent. The Belgian star did his magic with tribal drums and organic percussion, warm strings, melancholic synths and of course the well known vocal sample along with huge dose of Acid trance. Lastly Terra Ferma deliver the dirty, spooky acid trance meets prog trance hybrid that is deep, haunting, mysterious and loaded with acid overtones to keep your mind awake. The unforgettable classic is finally back, Don' miss iT, Love iT
