If a trance classic is so timeless and catchy with its outstanding melody, that you still find many DJs who play the original in their sets, you better leave it untouched - or, you ask one of your favorite production teams to create their own interpretation of the classic.
The second thing happened with our latest outing on Tool Trance. We are proud to present Funabashi - The Legacy, taken from the forthcoming artist album “A Walk to Remember”, in a stunnig remix by the German stalwarts of quality, energetic EDM music, Stoneface & Terminal.
No more words are needed here - just press play, enjoy this epic masterpiece, and embrace the brilliant melody of The Legacy as your new earworm for the coming weeks, if not months.
Dimitri Kechagias review: The eternal trance classic track The Legacy by Funabashi returns with brand new remix by Stoneface & Terminal. The brilliant duo is the perfect choice to bring up to date one of the biggest trance anthems of the past and make it sound so current and perfect for the modern trancefloors. Their remix starts quite dynamic with tough techy beats and then lands on a breaks style section. They build up their track upon that breaks electro infused groove and they decorate it with warm melodic soundlayers. The main long breakdown is cinematic and very tripping. Its characterised from the well known spoken female vocal. Shortly after the mysterious words they reveal the unforgettable melodic theme of the original and with latin style rhythm they lead us graciously in the huge climax that the massive orchestral classical music theme appears in full effect to drive the clubbers insane and offer the trance families worldwide goosebumps and shivers from head to toe. The track finishes off on the same way it started with short breaks style breakdown. Very strong update that will get multiple plays by many trance djs cause simply highlights the original's strong elements and introduce some new ideas as well. Peak time club banger and beatport trance top 10 straight away. Love iT
