7even is the second single from Andy Duguid’s ‘On The Edge’ album released on September 16 2013. Mark Sixma has the privilege to make the first remix of the track and he has done so with gusto, delivering a fierce trancer that will make the dancefloors shake.
Andy Duguid was first heard by the world in 2007 when Black Hole Recordings picked up his single "Hypocrisy". A label Andy still calls home to this day. A string of big releases followed in the forms of Don't Belong, Wasted, Lonely before he delivered his debut album "Believe". An album which to this day is still recognized as one of the stand out EDM albums of 2008. Tours followed taking Andy around the globe playing to hundreds of thousands of people, with his hit radio show "After Dark Sessions" furthering his name as a DJ each and every week. Later releases like ‘Strings’, ‘I wan't to Believe’, ‘Skin & Bones’, ‘In This Moment' and of course his album ‘On The Edge’ has only further cemented Andy's name in the EDM world as one of the best.
Dutch DJ Mark Sixma is a real household name in the trance industry releasing his music on the most well-known labels and being supported by DJ’s like Tiësto, Ferry Corsten, Markus Schulz, Gareth Emery, Paul van Dyk, Above & Beyond, Sander van Doorn, Judge Jules among others. Besides touring all around the globe Mark also hosts his own monthly radio show called Solid Sounds which is broadcasted on 6 different radio stations in the USA, Greece, Holland, UK and Germany. The show attracts over 100.000 listeners and the numbers are increasing rapidly.
Dimitri Kechagias review: Andy Duguid is always On The Edge producing his own established personal style that is simply outstanding. His album On The Edge confirms in the loudest way his capabilities and vast amount of talent. His collaboration with the superb singer and songwriter Jaren called Seven is his next single.
The extended remix is a fantastic energetic progressive trancer with plenty of punch, energy, drive, emotion and sensitivity to break your heart in pieces. The breakdown reveals the fantastic piano part and the vocal by Jaren that in my opinion is one of the finest she has delivered until now. She sounds so fragile as it starts all dark and whisper and towards the phrase I see The light she gives all her dynamism to arouse our senses and follow her towards the end of her emotional turmoil. The build up towards his climax is incredible as it really punch you in your stomach with the huge distorted synthy riff that strikes you and push you where you belong right in the middle of the dancefloor where you can of course see the lights and actually plenty of them. The first remix to see the light of the day is by the one and only Mark Sixma. The unstoppable Dutch trance force presents his great remix that is packed with techy chunky grooves, pumping rough and raw basslines and cool melodic strings on top. His breakdown is emotional and unleashes just a short part of Jaren's vocal followed by huge explosion of big synths that will cause mass hysteria in any trance club or EDM event that will be played. His climax is full on and in your face hard and punchy perfect to jump along and have good party time. Mark Sixma delivers always the goods and he moves fast and forward. Temple One, the beloved uplifting UK producer does his best to impress. He delivers his full on pumping well known and established by now personal style of warm, flirty, energetic and breathtaking euphoric trance. Temple One never fails to impress and is a talent that always delivers what his big name promises. He applies just the phrase I Feel The Light from the vocal making it suitable for the less vocal is better type of trancers. If you don't feel like flying on the dancefloor with wide smile in your face perhaps you are a cold hearted person. Next on the full uplifting package is the John'O'Calaghan supported artist Adam Ellis who slowly builds his great reputation with an awesome powerbanging roof raising version. If full on, straight forward trance is your sound then this version will push you to your limits. This is uplifting as we like it to be and can get you one level ahead of reality. From the vocal he uses again the same phrase and lead us on the most emphatic and in your face way to the climax. Its time for tranceparty that will enlighten your spirit and touch your soul, ohh noo some tears in my eyes now. Highly recommended, serious heartbreaker! Love iT
