Marvin Gaye meets Parov Stelar. While Parov Stelar disputes with his band the European summer festival with great detail, he delights us with the first single from his new album that will be released in autumn and is called "The Art of Sampling."
"Keep On Dancing" presents a high level of Parov Stelar usual: He worked here with Marvin Gaye's funky disco number-one hit "Got To Give It Up" from the year 1977. Parov Stelar makes it into a synth-pop number that picks up the relaxed atmosphere and the disco appeal of the original and adds a new twist. "Keep On Dancing" is a real labor of love for Parov Stelar: Marvin Gaye is one of his idols, and many of Gaye's songs have had a significant influence on his work. So it is understandable that it was not easy for various reasons, to face the challenge of reworking this gigantic hits.
"Keep On Dancing" is one of those projects where there is much time and so much more passion put in it. Parov Stellar composition proves that he did careful examination of the original material. In contrast with what happen these days that loveless sounds are layered over each other.
"Keep On Dancing" guarantee chills and will contribute to the relaxed atmosphere and the catchy quality to prolong the summer of 2013 until well into the autumn.
After five very successful albums Parov Stelar presents "The Art of Sampling," a compilation of some of his most successful tracks together with new material. The focus is on the examination of the Stelar perfected by practice of sampling and how the single sound fragments are combined into a new whole.
Besides the title track and other sampling works the album includes collaborations with live singers on "The Art of Sampling" and the arch of the songs contained on the album ranges from Downtempo Pearls to classics of the electro swing genre.

Dimitri Kechagias review: Parov Stelar manage with his fantastic compositions to build a huge following all over the world and without the backing of a big record company to become one of the most beloved artist performing on many festivals and clubs. He is about to get his well deserved big exposure into the mainstream with his album release on Island Records/Universal Music and catapult the international charts. The best choice for new single from his album is of course the incredible Keep on Dancing. He doesn't simply sample's Marvin Gaye track. He recreated the track into an upbeat, feel good and summery synthy pop production that will bring smiles and positivity in the air. The release package includes top additional remixes. Joris Delacroix provides the deep tech house alternative that is funky mesmerising lazy laidback lounge style that will definitely appeal to warm up djs or late night sets. Melodic and emotional remix as Joris take us on board for a nice journey of synths, pianos, bubbly deep basslines and those unforgettable vocal samples to sing a long. La Rochelle Band remix is a superb organic tech house version with electro pop touches to it. Radio stations will adore to play this remix as well. Last but not least Late Night mix is emotional driving version with excellent combination of old school synths, trumpet samples, funky basslines and more energetic approach perfect for those late night excursions. Highly recommended. Love iT
