REVIEW: Electronic Youth ft. Alex Hart - Wish I Didn't Miss You out on New State

After a lifetime of musical influences, a decade of dance industry experience and just under two years of hard graft dj duo Electronic Youth, are poised for a summer hit with their take on Angie Stone’s classic ‘Wish I Didn’t Miss You’ featuring the vocal talents of 21 year old BBC Introducing star Alex Hart.

This first release on New State has already received an exclusive first play on Pete Tong's Radio 1 show and made a huge splash at the IMS Ibiza 2013.

Electronic Youth have been garnering early tastemaker support from the likes of Skream & Benga, Luca C, Jamie Jones, Maceo Plex, Claude Von Stroke, Mark Knight, Steve Aoki, Benny Benassi, Wideboys (Kiss FM), John Digweed, Christian Martin (Dirtybird), Carl Kennedy, X-Press 2 (Ministry Of Sound Radio), Little Boots, Tom De Neef, King Unique, Tony Humphries, DONS, Gramophonedzie, Greg Fenton (DMC Mag), Kissy Sell Out, Spoony (MOS Radio), Danny Howells, Dimitri From Paris, Damian Lazarus, Hannah Wants (Kiss FM), Mike Mago, Mousse T (NJOY Germany).

Combining deep house with Alex Hart’s chocolate, pitch-perfect vocals it is the perfect Ibiza sunset-to-night party track - its sultry chorus and irresistible undulating tech-house bass line making it impossible not to groove to.

The duo spun at the reopening of Eden, Ibiza with a fortnightly midweek residency to be announced shortly. This, together with playing a select number of Friday nights at the island’s next superclub, Booom! will ensure plenty of partygoers will be humming and dancing to this infectious tune by the end of the summer!

Electronic Youth’s productions are a reflection of the musical influences they have both gathered, from the Ibiza sound, to 80s electro fused with the deep house and bass music scene currently exploding in the UK.

Wish I Didn’t Miss You will be available this summer for download from Beatport and iTunes in September.7

Dimitri Kechagias review:  The top record UK label New State Music is back with another smash hit that currently catapults the international deep house floors and the official UK Top 40 is coming next for sure. Electronic Youth present their magnificent creamy sexy and absolutely balearic essential item Wish I Didn't Miss You featuring the stand out and mesmerising voice of Alex Hart. The Original mix is a soulful deep house production with 2 minutes cool intro, bubbly basslines, techy chunky beats, electro pop synths here and there and those old school rave style keys. If you search for the ultimate track that will put your lover on that sexy mood you should press play and let the magic happen.  The Club mix is pretty similar with the original directed on the dancefloor. The remixers are the finest you can get as it happens always with New State Music release. Cicada firstly deliver the awesome groovy electronic deep tech house meets prog with tribal beats, old school rave keys, 90's acid balearic house influences passed through the prism of 2013 production techniques of course. It sounds retro and pure class but after the heavy dose of harder house forms, this sounds so refreshing, feel good and prime time. Lastly The Shapeshifters shine with their ability to inject their quality in anything they touch as they deliver an 8 minutes epic sonic journey that will lock you in its groove straight away and hypnotised you will follow the awesome beats and those soulful heartfelt vocals. Lets welcome real house back again, Highly recommended. Love iT!
