Jake Shanahan, the 24 year old DJ/producer/remixer from Boston, is still in the early stages of his career, but he has already accomplished a great deal in the Music Industry. Landing a huge mainstream remix for Dangerous Muse has thrown his name around in the indie-dance and rock genre, spreading his productions across radio worldwide. Jake recently signed up with legend, Paul Oakenfold's Perfecto Records. He has enjoyed much support after his releases on Hardwell's Revealed Recordings and EDX's Pink Star Records along with other prominent labels like Armin van Buuren's Armada. In 2012 he collaborated with First State on the track "Why So Serious", which was released on Magik Muzik - the same label that now presents his track "Athon".

Dimitri Kechagias review: The stunning Jake Shanahan takes his first solo outing on the legendary Tiesto's record label Magik Muzik and I can imagine how happy he will feel when he will see the cover of the release with his name just under the legendary Magik Muzik logo. Its certainly a big step in his career to become part of the worldwide known record label with such a huge track as well. Athon is called and you can be rest assured that you are treated VIP with this bright, energetic, euphoric and very danceable track. Its definitely hard to be original on the epic prog house genre that is produced by so many artists at the moment but as it seems Jake manage really successfully to add his personal sparkle and deliver a great balance of tough rock solid beats and punchy basslines along with playful fluffy light piano melodies and euphoric synths. It has that French disco house edge that definitely adds that little funky sexy angle to it. You press play and you feel like summer. Love IT!
