Our friend in Amsterdam.. C-jay , delivers his latest audio offering on Baroque.. with some stella remixes in tow
The original is a deep thoughtful slice of Progressive tech, with a slinky rolling bass, and swirling melodic pads making up the backbone f this one.. spoken vocals, while shimmering FX make for an interesting ride.Gav Fraser provides a more deep house style mix, with a nod to the classic house sound , with simple percussion layout, that classic house bass and retro style synth lines.. sounds of the summer here
Marc Pollen takes a tougher route with a punchy groove and prominent bouncy synth hooks amidst dark fx and electronic risers
Finally Chris Drifter gives the package a more up tempo skippy tech house take on things, with a busy groove and a seriously fat bassline pushing on, while the trippy topline and clever drop give this one an extra energy shot too.
Dimitri Kechagias review: Quality house music the main menu of Baroque records for many years now and stays faithful to th motto of just high quality releases without any exceptions. The latest one comes from the uber talented C-Jay with top tune Lightism. The original moves in the territory of what we know traditionally as progressive house. It will remind you tunes from the past with techy chunky beats, deep basslines and euphoric synths here and there. Its one that can easily lock you in its groove and never let you go from it. Gav Fraser strips down the track to its basics and go for a deeper hypnotic version with attractive sound and involving melodies. Dark mini chic and dirty too without to polish his sounds too much. Marc Pollen rocks the floors with his intesive version that has acid touches and even some psy trance references. He introduces additional melodic themes and he builds an impressive distant soundscape. Last but not least the talented Chris Drifter provides the more upfront version perfect for those very sweaty peak time moments of your sets. Driving and energetic climax with long cinematic breakdown that allows the spoken vocal sample to shine. He actually plays around with it and he applies it all through his mix. Baroque equals Must Have! Love iT!
