REVIEW: Almar - Evening Star incl remixes out on Touchstone recordings

Bucharest’s Almar a.k.a. Marius Ene serves up a Pure Trance monster in the form of ‘Evening Star’. The Original Mix serves up a glorious, euphoric melody enveloped by a straight-to-the-point peak time production. First up on remix duties is Hungary’s Elfsong with a mix that fuses a breaks and toms driven drop, warm bassline and layers of crisp inventive synth lines with some neat vocal edits. Raising the BPM level is Akira Kayosa & Hugh Tolland’s driving and pulsating mix; ascending arpeggios, a huge main-room hands-raising riff, burbling 303s and widescreen pads create the perfect atmosphere for those long, sweaty nights. Massive.

Dimitri Kechagias review: The top trance record label Touchstone recordings headed by Solarstone presents the finest pure trance releases. Almar joins the ranks with the massive uplifting pure trance beauty Evening Star. Full on and straight to the point is high quality trancer with long breakdown and superb synthy lead to raise the hair from your back. When the beat strikes back Almar take us on board for a massive emotional, sensitive and highly energetic ride. It is written by the book of the pure classic  trancers of all time so you can be rest assured that delivers what it promises. The exceptional producer Elfsong, who is well known as a result of the big support that Solarstone gave him in his  radio show and record labels, constructs a magnificent progressive trance journey with tech and electro touches perfect to play in the more progressive side of your pure trance set. His breakdown is really colorful with additional female vocals and rework of the original melody. His climax is euphoric and spacius to the maximum. Really refreshing  version that fuses wide variety of styles and sounds. Third top remix comes from the trusted duo Akira Kayosa & Hugh Tolland who never dissapoint and always manage to get the applause and love of many trance fans worlwide. Powerful uplifting trance at its best with acid overtones, breakdown with understated melodies and huge banging hands in the air climax for straight to the point trance pleasures of the mind. Highly recommended. Love iT
