Yolanda Be Cool Australian's band members Johnson and Sylvester have a worldwide number-one hit, are also responsible for a growing collection of Beatport hits that were just made for clubs.
The two had some pretty good year as they toured around the world. This led to places that can not even pronounce and those of which they had never dreamed. Their internationally released single "We No Speak Americano" in 2010 achieved a worldwide chart-entry and landed in UK, Germany, Austria and Switzerland at # 1 on the charts and came in Australia, France, Italy, Spain and Norway, even in the Top 5
During their travels, Yolanda Be Cool have been working on their album "Ladies & Mentalmen" that was released at the end of November 2012 first on their native label Sweat It Out and then worldwide on international labels. They have over a decade of experience in the DJ business under their belt and draw on musical influences that extend far beyond their hometown of Sidney from old school hip hop to techno and Chicago house and pretty much everything in between.
Not overnight, but the last 18 months have Yolanda Be Cool and the Australian musician Gurrumul worked tirelessly to "A Baru In New York" to create a unique work with remixes from man of the hour, Flume, and the tribal House legend Chocolate Puma: "This track was our" tribal "-House Tune for the album. With fat drums, ascending synths and the incomparable voice of Gurrumul we were extremely happy to be working with the most successful indigenous artists from Australia. "
The single "A Baru In New York" by Yolanda be Cool feat. Gurrumul from the upcoming album "Ladies & Mentalmen" will be released in Germany on B1 Recordings / Universal Music in the summer of 2013.

Dimitri Kechagias review: One of the biggest dance anthems of all years is of course the incredible We No Speak Americano by Yolanda Be Cool. The beloved group from Australia is back with the beautiful and very inspirational track A Baru in New York. The original mix is a very optimistic energetic tribal prog house anthem with those excellent ethnic style vocals that connect the two worlds/sides of Australia in the finest way. With an airy sunny summery feel to it sounds the perfect soundtrack for this year holidays. Neon Stereo remix is the more upfront as it combines progressive and electro house into one explosive content. If you play Dirty Dutch or hard house you will identify completely with this top rework. The brilliant Chocolate Puma deliver the finest tribal house meets techno track that we have heard the last years. Pumping, jumping and full of meaty percussion to get you dancing. Flume Soundtrack transform the original into an ambient, lounge cinematic soundscape that will travel your mind to faraway places including some dubstep influences as well. Last but not least the very talented Taan Newjam provides his deep melodic tech house remix that is pure magic with excellent guitar riffs, deep basslines, driving beats and the so cool vocals on top. There is a dub mix for the non vocal lovers as well. Highly recommended. Love iT!
